Village Hotel Coventry

Dolomite Lane, Coventry Business Park, Coventry CV4 9GZ, UK – 024 7771 0860

I only really use these places for the internal Starbucks coffee shops - however they are always very clean (toilets, general presentation etc...) and staff are polite and welcoming. Great for the summer months (when using Starbucks) as nearly every Village Hotel I have been to has a veranda with appropriate furniture to sit outside and enjoy a coffee and catch up on some work between meetings. This particular hotel is in a good location near to local supermarkets for fuel etc... when you are ready to move on!

I really like this hotel. If u want to hit them gym whist away on business then this hits the spot. Great gym with lots of kit and some decent food on the room service menu for post workout feed! Also the only village hotel that I’ve been too where they make omelettes fresh to order 👍🏼

Best Western Plus Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa

Birmingham Rd, Allesley, Coventry CV5 9AL, UK – 024 7640 4040

Always enjoy staying here, have been for the last 4 years. Staff are friendly & welcoming too. Breakfast is always good & plentiful although at the time of writing we haven't tried it on our current visit. If we were here for the golf then this would undoubtedly be a 5 star review as the greens look excellent. Spa & leisure facilities look good also & I'm told by my associates that they are really nice but that's not why I'm here (weekend of events in Coventry). You could do much, much worse than book here!

This hotel is starting to get a little dated. Be really careful which room they put you in. The rooms towards the main road can we really noisy due to road noise and also when people arrive late and walk up the metal walkways this wakes you up. Hotel facilities are ok. Pub food is good. Breakfast typical hotel full English. Locations is good for Birmingham and Coventry. Be careful turning out onto the main road!

Ramada Hotel & Suites Coventry

The Butts, Coventry CV1 3GG, UK – 024 7623 8110

Upgraded to a suite, loved the corner window views. Room service is fast, and what I had tasted great. Friendly staff and clean. They could use with a couple fixes here and there, just naturally worn but overall great experience.

This hotel is brilliant. Stayed here for a business trip and was booked into a suite. It was like an apartment, very spacious and comfortable! Water was hot, room was immaculate, bed was comfortable. You are also given complimentary snacks and tea/coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the service was amazing and staff could not do enough to assist. If I had one criticism it would be that the outside looks tired and is not much to look at as you can see from the picture. but that is certainly not significant enough to reduce my rating. You can see from the pictures of my suite the level this hotel is at! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to all. This is by far the nicest hotel in Coventry.

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Open Arms

Daventry Rd, Coventry CV3 5DP, UK – 024 7650 5129

A friendly and relaxed pub where you can sit and chat with friends. I love the 'new' menu - lots of healthy food and different options. There are also fixed price menus available throughout both week days and evenings.

A very pleasant first experience in The Open Arms! A group of us went for a walk and then decided to hunt down a place for a drink and a bite. We were happy to stumble across this place and were greeted by a surprisingly large selection of draught products all very well priced; perfect if you're on a student budget! The food was cheap, very tasty and arrived promptly in good sized portions! The name of the pub is apt, as the staff were smiley and welcoming. I shall be returning!

The Holyhead

Holyhead Rd, Coventry CV5 8JN, UK – 024 7659 6782

Nice pub, with typical beer and food. I had a burger which was rather good. I thought it was strange that I was denied to take a bottle of ketchup outside into the beer garden though... Does it make any difference? That was a tiny bit annoying. Apart from that peculiarity the pub had a nice atmosphere.

I have been going to the Holyhead pub for many years, it has always been a favourite for starting the night or a catch up with friends for food and drinks. I was delighted today to find you can take your dog in the pub in a designated area. Myself and my friend had lunch today and it was fab to not have to leave the dog behind. Lovely Sunday lunch, good value! Great pub, friendly staff :)

The Burnt Post

Kenpas Hwy, Coventry CV3 6AW, UK – 024 7669 2671

I have eaten here on numerous occasions and found the staff helpful, pleasant and friendly. I really enjoyed the sea bass it was beautiful. This place is very relaxed and cozy. I will definitely visit again well done everyone 😁 see you soon.

Excellent pub. Wanted somewhere close to University of Warwick (Westwood accommodation) and this was perfect. Food was great at reasonable prices. With a smallish TV screen perfectly fine to watch fa cup final. Staff all friendly and seemed to care. Enjoyable few hours. Thank you

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
